One of the late Masinde Muliro's sons, Musoke, yesterday declared interest in the Cherenganyi parliamentary seat now held by JoshuaKutunyi, a close ally of the Eldoret North MP William Ruto . "It is true I am in the race. I will be running on an ODM ticket, a party I have supported since it was formed," Musoke, 33, told the Star. He added that he also has a cordial relations with the party leader.

He expressed confidence that he will secure a win against Kutunyi who has gone public that he will be running on a UDM, a party associated with Ruto.
Musoke accused the politicians of dishonesty and selfishness hence their failure to tackle socio-economic challenges facing Kenyans.
"I want to continue championing my father's principles and ideologies," Musoke said. The declaration by Musoke comes a day after the Prime Minister proclaimed Muliro a national ceremony. During the ceremony held at Muliro's Sibanga home, Kutunyi was heckled and had the microphone withdrawn when he attacked the PM.
